It was a joy working with you, Fern!! I loved meeting each week as a group, practicing writing the glyphs, forming sentences around and talking about the planets, and how they might express in each person's chart. I appreciated the handouts & exercises
so much content! I loved the way you presented everything and how organized your lessons were.
I really loved the homework, and how creatively the course material was invited to be integrated into our lives. I really enjoyed the way the course was crafted to include different learning styles, and how creativity was woven into the ingestion of the material. I thought the class was expertly delivered, and even though it was zoom, it didn't matter really, it was more just the energy and the space that was held. Fern is clearly a very experienced teacher. I did love how we were invited to share our answers in the chat, when we were working on each others charts, or when we were answering questions. There was also a clear strategy in the delivery of the material, where we were able to build on our knowledge. I think the title of the class: Be Your Own Astrologer is was what initially attracted me to this class, because being able to decipher and understand my own chart was what this was about. I can now see my own chart and know the basics of what it means. The other amazing thing about this course is the access to all your material! Everything you've written, all the slides, all the resources! That is amazing in itself.
I liked getting a general overview so I have a basis for learning more. I loved in particular the meditations early in the course, the drawing of the glyph, and doing the aspects with our bodies.
What “aspects?” This made me smile. I loved everything about it actually. The way we practiced at the beginning of each session was great! I learned whether or not I got the answer correct. The way each lesson was laid out was really helpful because each built upon the previous lesson in a ways hat made sense.
The intimate container, the quality resources including recommended books, handouts, slideshow presentations. The pacing of the material was right...and I felt I had time to digest and practice with the material in between classes. Fern, your teaching style is so rhythmic and calming and your metaphors and eloquent astro-communication really helped make the learning come alive.
